How the filter works

Flags short bursts of 80+ mph lasting up to 5 samples, with speeds below 5 mph on both sides, no more than 10 seconds overall, and GPS positions staying within 20 metres. It does not flag speed alone. Original readings remain in your samples and backups; turn the filter off to include them in speed statistics. Other sensor readings are kept.

Getting started

  1. In OBD Fusion, enable logging for GPS, vehicle speed and the sensors you want.
  2. After your drive, open Logs and export or share the recording as CSV. Save it to Files or Downloads.
  3. Choose Add drive logs here, select your CSVs, then select a journey.
  4. Choose Graph / route to switch readings. Tap the route or graph, scrub the timeline, or play the journey.

For Torque, enable GPS logging and include OBD or GPS speed, then export CSV. Supported layouts are listed below. GPS is required for the map.

Supported CSV exports

OBD Fusion: elapsed seconds or full date/time, with GPS and vehicle speed.

Torque: Device Time in day-month-name-year format, Latitude, Longitude, and OBD speed or GPS speed. If OBD speed is absent, GPS speed is used and identified in log details. Sensor units are retained as exported.

Other CSV layouts and Car Scanner BRC files are not supported yet.

Your drive backups

Export all drives, including uploads on this device. Restore a backup on another device to keep your extra sensor readings.

Can new logs arrive automatically?

OBD Fusion supports iCloud and Dropbox. Check its cloud settings for log-file sync. This site currently imports files you select; it is not connected to your cloud folder. Automatic imports need a separate authorised connection.

OBD Fusion information

Recorded OBD or GPS speeds, not speed limits. GPS may drift. Gaps over 3 seconds aren’t connected. Overlapping passes can hide earlier colours—select a drive and use the slider to inspect them.
